ABOUT
This Winter, two residents (Ian Brunning and Evette Sunset) ran a survey about our neighbourhood reserve, and collated that information into a landscape plan proposal for Council to consider.
Leanne Lawrence, our internal council liaison person, advocated for us and full approval has very recently come back, with immediate follow up action and support - boulders placed to naturalise the creek bed, mending of the eroded paths, planting of 300 indigenous reeds and shrubs by the local young people’s group YACCA, and holes dug for trees supplied by the Council nursery.
This quick response is very exciting. The Project is run and contributed to by the neighbourhood community - with no fixed timeline.
