Bottle and Cans bin for the car park?

Bassett Street Reserve is proving very popular for kid's parties and family gatherings, but the single wheelie bin has not been coping and the 2nd wheelie bin over beyond the tennis courts goes unnoticed or is too far to walk to!

A neighbour realised that 2/3 of the waste from the parties and gatherings is drinks cartons bottles and beer cans, which could be recycled to get a bit more money for the Reserve, as well as doing a good recycling job!

Leanne is checking in with Council waste services to see if they can come up with another bin, and a sign to denote 'bottles and cans only for Reserve fundraising'.

If this works out perhaps any else who wanted to donate their cans and bottles to the Reserve could join in!

Watch this space for an update on this....
